“Time Elapsed Since Request Sent to BARC President and Vice-President:”
This timer is currently running to track the duration of time elapsed since the president and vice-president of the Batesville Area Radio Club (BARC) received my letter. In the letter, I requested that they provide an details for the accusations outlined in the Membership Termination Letter which was endorsed by them and sent to me by the BARC secretary on January 31st, 2023. As of now, there has been no response from them.
I must admit that I’m not surprised. Ignoring issues like this and acting as they please is a characteristic I’ve observed since attending the Batesville Area Radio Club 2021 Field Day.
Dear fellow HAMs, BARC and ARRL Members,
We urgently require your attention regarding a recent “Membership Termination” letter received from Mr. Babb – W5PLB, President of the Batesville Area Radio Club (BARC). BARC is an approved affiliate of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL), and as BARC or ARRL members, your input in how they represent the ARRL is important. Regrettably, despite our efforts, we have not received any response or communication from BARC officers. We kindly request that you take the time to read the letter we previously sent, included below, as we seek an explanation for this decision.
As fellow Amateur Radio Operators, members of BARC and the ARRL, we deeply appreciate your feedback, whether positive or negative. Your support in spreading this message and encouraging those who were contacted to vote is crucial in addressing this matter. We firmly believe that our substantial contributions to the club merit a transparent and fair explanation.
Thank you for your understanding and willingness to help us seek a resolution that upholds the values of the Amateur Radio Community and the ARRL.
73,
AG5CC

Thank you for taking the time to read this post!
If you have any comments, please feel free to share them. If you have had any experiences with the Batesville Area Radio Club, positive or negative, we welcome your input.
Unfortunately, my experience with the Batesville Radio Club was quite negative. It appears that I am not alone in this sentiment, as at least 11 members, including myself, either got expelled from the club or chose to leave due to the lack of effective leadership following the president’s passing.
Although Sheri and I are no longer active members of the club, the feelings of embarrassment and shame associated with our past involvement still linger deep within us. We intend to fully disclose our experiences, concerns, and shed light on what we believe to be a direct violation of our rights as club members and as moral individuals.
